Edouard 'SmithZz' Dubourdeaux wrote the following:

“More than 15 years of grinding the game out, managing to make it my job, creating memories I will never forget, including winning a Major. This game built me as a human being. It introduced me to people that are now so important in my life, it made me travel around the world, discover so many places. And for all of that I will be thankful for the rest of my life.I want to thank my last home, G2 Esports, and I wish them nothing but the best, the staff, the players, everyone deserves it. I could not have dreamt of a better organization to end my career at.

[...]

It is like a fresh start, grinding as a streamer with many objectives in mind, including one that is particularly important to me, making professional CS more accessible to the community. Reinforcing the link between those two worlds, something that is not easy to do when you are active pro player. This new challenge reminds me of my younger years in CS, and I'm eager to take it up."

SmithZz began his career in 2005 when the whole world played CS 1.6. For 15 years, he represented a lot of tags, both well-known and not so. He managed to play under the colors of such teams as H2k Gaming, Very Games, ROCCAT, Team LDLC, Team EnVyUs and of course G2 Esports and others. By the way, he joined the ranks of the latter on February 1, 2016 and since that time did not leave the French club, either switching to the role of a coach, or leaving inactive and again returning to the player’s position. The esportsman has repeatedly become the champion in major tournaments from 2014 to 2016, but the two most significant achievements of his career can rightly be considered a victory at DreamHack Winter 2014 and the first place at the Esports Championship Series Season 1. DreamHack Winter 2014 is the fourth in the main tournament in the history of CS: GO, where SmithZz won in Team LDLC along with NBK-, kioShiMa, shox and Happy. In ECS Season 1, he became a triumphant already under the G2 tag along with RpK, ScreaM, bodyy and the same captain shox.
