Romanian rifler Mihai “iM” Ivan has claimed 19th place in the HLTV Top 20 Players of 2025 ranking, continuing his strong presence on the international CS2 scene and reaffirming his value as a consistent performer at the highest level.

This marks iM’s second consecutive appearance in HLTV’s annual Top 20 list. After finishing 16th in 2024, he managed to remain among the world’s elite in 2025, even though Natus Vincere were unable to fully replicate the success of their previous season.

Why iM Made the HLTV Top 20 in 2025

Throughout the year, iM delivered reliable performances at the biggest events on the calendar, including four Super-Elite tournaments such as BLAST Bounty Finals, IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, and ESL Pro League Season 22. Across these events, he recorded an average rating of 1.16, a key factor in securing his place in the Top 20.

Another important aspect of his case was his impact against the very best opposition. In matches versus top-10 ranked teams, iM maintained a rating of around 1.10, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure and against elite competition.

Over the course of the season, iM played a large number of maps for NAVI at international tournaments and frequently ranked among the team’s top performers by rating. While his form fluctuated at certain events and NAVI ended the year without major trophies, his individual contribution remained significant and consistently visible in high-stakes matches.
