Richard Lewis: " NAVI ønsker å sette sammen en helukrainsk CS:GO-liste"
According to the well-known British host and analyst Richard Lewis, the Ukrainian esports organization NaVi wants to assemble a completely Ukrainian CS:GO roster. The 40-year-old journalist spoke about this in his recent video, where he discussed the results of IEM Rio Major 2022 and reflected on the future of some teams.
As far as I heard, NAVI wants to make the Ukrainian CS:GO roster to the maximum. Earlier there was talk that they would kick the Russians after the expiration of the contracts, but I can't imagine it. This is madness. I do not know what they will do, but there is a strange situation.
It should be noted that talks about big changes in the composition of the "Born to Win" have appeared since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Since then, various journalists and analysts have been selling rumors about the departure of one or another player with a Russian passport, while NAVI has made it clear that it will not keep players living in Russia. In fairness, the organization managed to say goodbye to Boombl4, citing "reputational risks".
In addition, during the discussion, Richard Lewis noted that those NAVI players who were preparing to move to another country never did. According to the Brit, he does not know where electroNic and Perfecto are, but, in his opinion, they never moved to Serbia.
However, the organization has enough options besides parting ways with the players. In particular, a number of NAVI players in other disciplines removed citizenship in order to play in a neutral status. This happened with the new VALORANT roster, which included Shao and SUYGETSU, as well as the recent PUBG Global Championship 2022 champions.
The next championship for the "Born to Win" will be BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, which will be held in mid-December in Abu Dhabi. Remarkably, there the team will test the young npl, who will change maps with sdy.
Current NAVI CS:GO roster:
- s1mple
- electroNic
- perfecto
- b1t
- sdy (stand-in)
- B1ad3 (coach)
