Modern Warfare 3 Ushers in a New Era: Welcome Warhammer 40K and the Airport-Themed Layovers 24/7 Playlist!
Sledgehammer Games has announced the latest playlist update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, featuring game modes on the maps Terminal and Departures. This update, going live on March 13, coincides with the introduction of a new feature in the game.
In a significant crossover event with Warhammer 40K, Modern Warfare 3 will incorporate content inspired by the acclaimed sci-fi series starting March 13. Players can acquire new items by accumulating XP. For those ready to spend, there's the option to buy the Warhammer 40K Space Marines Tracker Pack Bundle, offering two operator skins that boost event XP.
Concurrent with the Warhammer 40K event, Modern Warfare 3 unveils a new playlist named Layovers 24/7, based on airport locations, including Terminal and Departures. This playlist supports various modes like Kill Confirmed, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and Domination, blending the classic appeal of Terminal with the contemporary design of Departures for an engaging gameplay experience. Departures is a recent addition from the Season 2 update in early February. The game also features other rotating playlists like Small Map Mosh Pit and Das Haus 24/7.
The Layovers 24/7 playlist, set to activate on March 13, brings together Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, and Kill Confirmed on the Terminal and Departures maps. Alongside, during the Warhammer 40K themed event, a new limited-time mode named Juggermosh is anticipated, although not immediately on March 13. The event extends until March 27, providing ample opportunity for its introduction.
In addition to the Layovers 24/7 playlist and the Warhammer 40K event, Modern Warfare 3 has updated its Stims equipment, now featuring a 25-second recharge, enhancing gameplay by allowing multiple uses in a single life. The Demolition Vest further reduces this recharge time to approximately 12 seconds.
The game plans to extend its Season 2 content with new map variants for Skidrow and Terminal, named Skidgrow and Airborne, respectively. These are part of the upcoming Vortex: Decay's Realm event starting March 27, adding even more depth and excitement to the game's expansive world.
