Modern Warfare 3's Wild Ride: Players Encounter Hilarious Yet Game-Altering Bug – Is Your Console to Blame?

Denne artikkelen er tilgjengelig på følgende språk

Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 recently stumbled upon another bug within the game, adding to the list of issues since its release just a month ago. While this particular bug, captured on video by Reddit user HexStrider, may seem entertaining at first glance, it has significant implications for vehicle handling in the game, particularly affecting missions that involve time-sensitive driving tasks.

Despite being relatively new to the gaming scene, Modern Warfare 3 continues to attract a dedicated player base. However, ongoing bug discoveries indicate that the game is not without its flaws. HexStrider's video showcases a vehicle seemingly swallowed by a bridge, resulting in erratic handling and eventually plummeting off the bridge. After the fall, the vehicle respawns on the bridge, only to be hit by a missile and suffer critical damage.

This glitch becomes a major concern in missions like the Deliver Cargo contracts in Modern Warfare 3's Zombies mode, where efficient driving is crucial. Some players report that this bug not only hinders mission performance but also prevents successful completion. This is particularly problematic as the game heavily relies on vehicles as a key gameplay element in Zombies mode.

Fortunately, players can address this issue at a cost. While it adds to the growing list of glitches in Modern Warfare 3, the bug seems to be linked to hardware obsolescence. Comments on the Reddit post suggest that this problem occurs frequently on older consoles with hard drives, as terrain elements like bridges struggle to load quickly. The recommended fix is to install the game on an SSD for PC players or invest in a current-gen console, albeit the more expensive option.

As of now, there is no official response from developer Sledgehammer Games regarding this bug. The development team is actively addressing various bugs and implementing requested features, as evidenced by the recent update released a few days ago.
